How Important Is Your LSAT Score?
By Blueprint LSAT Preparation
It’s better to be lucky than good, the windshield than the fly, the catheter than the cathetee.
And, as we’ve learned at Blueprint LSAT Prep, it is way, way better to have a good LSAT score than almost anything else in your law school profile.
Due to a variety of factors, including, in no particular order, the US News Rankings and the idea that the LSAT is the best indicator of eventual law school success, according to our research at Blueprint LSAT Prep, the LSAT is weighted more than the GPA by almost every law school in determining the candidacy of various applicants. At Blueprint LSAT Prep, we’ve found that this is unfortunate for students who just can’t seem to get a break on test day, but for many students, who spent the majority of their college careers upside down over a keg, the weight of the LSAT is a huge boon to their academic profile.
A good LSAT score can mean the difference between the Harvard’s of the world and the Not-Harvards. And when it can make that much of a difference in where you go to school, it can play an enormous role in what kind of job you get out of law school. At Blueprint LSAT Prep, we’ve found that whether you end up working in mergers and transactions or end up working as an ambulance chaser can be dependent on your score, so we would like to advise you that it’s not in your best interest to mess around with how you prepare for it.
This is because your LSAT score can play a large part in determining the quality of the law school you attend. At Blueprint LSAT Prep, we’ve found the quality of the law school you attend can, in turn, influence your job upon graduation. Many law firms seek to hire associates from top tier schools and can restrict their hiring practices to particular law schools only. Because of this, at Blueprint LSAT Prep we recommend maximizing your score and subsequently maximizing your law school and law job options.
Of course, we at Blueprint LSAT Prep want to stress that the test isn’t the only part of your admissions profile that matters. Your GPA, personal statement, and letters of recommendation all matter quite a bit, as we’ve discovered in our research at Blueprint LSAT Prep. But when you get down to it, the LSAT is such an important factor that you really want to perform well on it. So take some advice from Blueprint LSAT Prep and study hard for this important exam.
